How can I help you?
I can help you to “Know thyself”, using the methods of attachment-based psychotherapy, family constellations and astrology.
Attachment Therapy
Attachment-based psychoanalytical psychotherapy will help you understand how the people that looked after you as a baby had a profound effect on your psychological and emotional development. The psychiatrist Dr John Bowlby was very interested in a group of delinquent boys that he was helping and soon realised they had all had very difficult early lives full of deprivation. He himself identified with them, even though he had come from a wealthy family. He later realised the profound effect that the departure of his beloved nanny had on him when she left the family home just before he was 4. He was sent off to a boarding school at 7, later he wrote “I wouldn’t send a dog away to boarding school at age 7”.
Attachment- based therapy is very good at recognising and soothing your early stresses and traumas. The vulnerable part of you, sometimes identified as your inner-child, comes alive when those early memories are encouraged to emerge. This in turn helps a connection with life, instead of a trauma response of fight, flight or freeze.

Family Constellations
Family Constellation Workshops are suitable for anyone and it is a very profound and powerful method to help you look at, process and resolve hidden dynamics in your family system. Rupert Sheldrake has coined the phrase ‘Morphic Resonance’ to describe the way energy flows through systems. When energy flows with ease and grace in yourself it is like you have a flock of birds flying at high speed in perfect formation, all knowing exactly their place. This energy, or love, inside you can get stuck, or blocked when there has been some sort of disruption either in your life, or in someone else in the family system. You may have had parents who were alcoholics, grandparents who suffered during the war. Maybe your family relocated to a different country or had children that died far too young. All these examples are not you, but because they are in your system you will carry them, out of love, for your ancestors.
Bert Hellinger observed that it is always best if one carries their own burdens, and also gives back any burdens that do not belong to them. That way everyone, including the ancestors, are respected for their part in the system. One of his books is called ‘Acknowledging What Is’ and a big learning is that “Life Came To Us Exactly As It Did”.
Family constellation workshops are spaces to help you to resolve personal issues that stem from family difficulties and to illuminate the next step for you to take in your life. You do not need any knowledge of your family history. This method is just as effective for people who have been adopted or are IVF babies and never knew their biological parents, as it is for those people who have a detailed record of their family history.
Astrology
Astrology is a fascinating subject that has its origins in times before Ancient Egypt.
Jung used it to help with understanding himself and I can read your birth chart to help you understand yourself more deeply. During psychotherapy sessions I will include some pointers to help you understand your chart, and thus yourself, better.
There are also several different options of birth charts available which can be purchased as stand alone items for yourself or as gifts. Please contact me for details and prices.
Did you know that in Tibet they don’t have a medical centre and an astrology centre, they have an astrological medical centre as one institution. Western medicine used to use astrology as an aid to health.
