Dearest one’s,

I am writing this in between the eclipses. The first one was highly publicised and the second one is due on early hours on Friday 28th August. Eclipses always come in pairs. The window of time between eclipses is the eclipse season, where events and feelings can be more confused. It also signifies beginnings and endings of events and lives, often people who are visible suddenly become invisible, like the sun or moon suddenly disappearing. Dolly Parton, Tim Curry and Yayoi Kusama have all died this week. Unfortunately

celebrity deaths often accompany eclipse seasons.

Family constellations deal with life and death. We all live and we all eventually die. A harsh reality, it seems so stark when stated like this. But in a family constellation we see the dead and living represented in a way that feels more life affirming and respectful.

I used Dearest ‘ones’ at the top of this letter, as I have been thinking a lot about group dynamics lately and how we live in so many groups in our lives. In our childhood family group, the adult family group, the group at work and the group of friends we choose, groups of musicians and sporting events.

Where can the ‘one-ness’ of ourselves have space to ‘be’?

A family constellation does take place in a group, but the purpose is to honour the ONE in each of us. It is about your story, and the stories that you have inherited. It is a place to let go of the stories that no longer serve you , so that you can live life as truly you.

You are very welcome to join the family constellation in Brighton on Saturday September 5th. I always look forward to the fresh stories that emerge as the day unfolds. Yes there may be tears, there may be laughter, there may even be unspoken rage from our pre-verbal days, they will probably be grief and relief, but none of this is acted out to hurt anybody else, it is welcomed so that it can be processed, so that we can all get on with living well.
