One of the highlights to be aware of this year is that Pluto is moving into Aquarius for the next 20 years.
The other big piece of information for this month is that there a load of planets clustered in the sign of Capricorn, this means this month of Capricorn is particularly good for getting projects done, using the energy of Mars in Capricorn to go for what you want and to prepare the solid foundations for the rest of the year.
2024 is a quite dramatic and era-defining year, but in the middle of this decade it more of a trailer for 2025 and 2026, which are actually forecast to be more dramatic. This is a very dramatic decade!
Pluto in Aquarius
In 2023 Pluto was in Aquarius from March 2023 until June 11th , so this was a taste of what to expect with Pluto in Aquarius, if you happen to remember what your life was like during this time last year? In 2024 there will be 40-41 weeks of Pluto in Aquarius. The dates for Pluto being in Aquarius will be January 20th 2024 until September 1st 2024, then November 19th 2024 until the end of the year, (and then Pluto continues in Aquarius until March 9 2043.)
Pluto was officially discovered on 18 February 1930 by Clyde Tombaugh. So some astrologers don’t believe that we have ever had a Pluto in the sign of Aquarius before, but if we take the view that Pluto was there even though it wasn’t used by astrologers we can look back in time to historical dates. And other astrologers would argue that Pluto was used by Greco-Roman astrologers and before as Pluto is linked to Hades the Lord of the Underworld.
One of the main ways that astrologers can predict the future is by looking back. Historically the Pluto in Aquarius placement has been associated with technological advancements, government control of information and the development of new forms of destructive weaponry, for example the development of gunpowder in China. Pluto in Aquarius during the Middle Ages coincided with the development of guns. During modern times there is a rush to install lasers on top of boats and planes, partially as a way to fight drone warfare and to be able to shoot down drones or swarms of drones. In the history once a country has developed a new weapon or something like that, they try to develop a monopoly on it.
Pluto in Aquarius 1532-1553
Copernicus published his larger work, De revolutionibus orbium coelestium (1543), which contained detailed diagrams and tables.
Copernicus removed Earth from the centre of the universe, set the heavenly bodies in rotation around the Sun, and introduced Earth’s daily rotation on its axis. While Copernicus’s work sparked the “Copernican Revolution”, it did not mark its end. In fact, Copernicus’s own system had multiple shortcomings that would have to be amended by later astronomers.
The Protestant Revolution with Henry VIII was also occurring at this time.
The Reformation Parliament sat from 1529 to 1536 and brought together those who wanted reform but who disagreed what form it should take.
By 1532, Cromwell was responsible for managing government business in the House of Commons.
Pluto in Aquarius 1778-1798
1781 William Herschel discovered Uranus, the first planet discovered beyond Saturn in the history of humanity.
French Revolution on 5 May 1789 saw the bourgeoisie and the merchant class overthrowing whoever was at the top of the pyramid of power.
American Revolution spanning 1775- 1783, where the thirteen colonies secured their independence from the British Crown.
Haitian Revolution 1791-1804. This revolt began in 1791 and ended in 1804 with the former colony’s independence. The revolution was the largest slave uprising since Spartacus’ unsuccessful revolt against the Roman Republic nearly 1,900 years earlier
Pluto in Aquarius modern age 2023-2043
What are we imagining the earth is shaped like? There are a lot of things about the picture of the universe that have been steady for the last 40 years or so that are beginning to be challenged. For example there are issues with the dark matter hypothesis, problems with string theory and people are theorising that the universe might be twice as old or older than people were thinking.
There are some developments in Space, this year they’re gonna launch another probe to Europa, which is the frozen moon of Jupiter. The probe is due to land in 2023.
So Pluto with Aquarius is linked with changing the idea of the larger world or the larger cosmos in which the Earth is placed.
